Whittier Legal Consulting was founded as a strategic resource for lawyers and law firms. Our programs have grown out of first-hand experience, and we have continually expanded and updated them to meet the evolving needs of our clients. By constantly gathering data and information from the marketplace for legal services, and seeking ongoing feedback from our clients, we shape our programs to incorporate the most up to date and useful systems and procedures possible. From there, we take our services to the next level by fully customizing them to each and every client. That’s why our coaching programs are centered on each participant’s level of experience and interests and our law firm consulting services are built around the organization’s culture and institutional objectives. Indeed, the recent addition of FIRM COMMUNICATIONS™ as an offshoot to Whittier Legal Consulting is a direct result of increasingly frequent requests from our clients for sessions that focus on how attorneys can be as effective as possible when conducting important in-firm and outside-the-firm discussions with colleagues, clients, and contacts.

Toni Wells Whittier served as the litigation department section head in the Dallas office of a leading national law firm, where she gained substantial hands-on experience in all facets of business and practice development. She has worked closely with attorneys at all levels of seniority to plan and activate successful career-building strategies. Toni has developed law firm training programs, participated on recruiting committees, served on a firm-wide partnership committee, and chaired a firm-wide associate recruitment and professional development committee. She is frequently interviewed for articles and news items relating to the legal profession and currently serves on the advisory board of Law 360. She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Smith College and received her JD from Yale Law School.

Toni participates in a limited number of customized speaking engagements each year, including firm retreats. She speaks on a range of topics relating to innovative firm management, effective leadership, and strategic business development.
